Patient Care Coordinator

Job purpose The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for creating a warm and inviting, yet efficient patient experience, in accordance with Southland Physical Therapy’s core values and mission statement. This position requires excellent customer service skills, great attention to detail, superb organizational skills and an ability to fully take ownership of coordinating and managing our schedule. Our practice specializes in providing the highest quality of care in outpatient physical therapy. Our mission is to create the perfect patient experience and adapt to each scenario. Duties and responsibilities

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • 1 year of customer service experience
  • Prior scheduling experience, preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to execute and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to use multi line phone system with professional phone etiquette
  • Minimum typing speed of 50 WPM Working conditions
  • Full or part time position
  • Fast paced office environment with standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs
  • Sitting for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to view reports, emails, EMR on computer monitor for prolonged periods of time

 

 

 

Physical Therapist Position

Do you want to practice high level physical therapy in clinic that is patient centric and hands on with fellow PT’s who practice the same way? Southland Physical Therapy is a private outpatient therapy practice owned by Physical Therapists. We are a comprehensive private practice, with a strong emphasis on manual and orthopedic physical therapy.

We have multiple locations: Costa Mesa, Irvine, Long Beach and Santa Ana and are always in search of great talent.

At Southland Physical Therapy, we serve a wide range of patients, such as high school athletes, post-op orthopedic patients, geriatric patients, and everything in between. Our clinics in Costa Mesa, Irvine, Long Beach and Mission Viejo offer treatments that are focused on patient care first and foremost, with fully trained support staff and up to date equipment.

We offer full time positions and seek candidates with caring, outgoing personalities who are looking to find a team to join for the long term with the opportunity for future growth as we look to expand our services to all areas of Orange and Los Angeles Counties.

Experience is preferred, but new graduates are also welcome as we offer mentoring.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

Bilingual ability is a plus but not necessary.

PT Aide

Fast paced physical therapy clinic, located in Long Beach, is seeking an energetic, dynamic candidate to join our team. To succeed in this position, the ideal candidate will be able to juggle multiple patients with a positive outlook and most importantly possess the desire to help others get well.

Candidates with degrees or pursuing sports medicine, Kinesiology, pre-PT, pre-PTA, ATC, rehab sciences or previous aide experience are preferred.

The right candidate will be available Monday through Friday between the hours of 7am and 630pm. Set schedule will be determined upon hire.

Job purpose
The Physical Therapy Aide assists the Physical Therapist in providing quality rehabilitation services through therapeutic exercise instruction as well as modality assignment. He/she has a crucial role behind the scenes, coordinating patient flow and ensuring proper therapeutic exercise implementation as provided by the Physical Therapist.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Demonstrate, instruct, and assist patients with therapeutic exercises, as prescribed by the physical therapist.
  • Physical Therapy Aides are to provide patients high quality care in regards to safety and equipment maintenance, as well as communicating with clinical staff and front office to insure efficient control of patient flow from the lobby to treatment rooms as well as treatment rooms to the gym floor.
  • Train volunteer(s) on their duties as set forth in the Volunteer Manual
  • Mediate between aides and management/therapists with any concerns
  • Pacify the relationship between aides and management/therapist when necessary. * Perform weekly/daily cleaning tasks for the gym and treatment rooms(common areas/restrooms/other facilities)
  • Check the quality of electrodes for all stim units and H-waves; change out as necessary
  • Verify that the quality of the electrodes meet the minimum standard of quality for all patients. * Repair equipment/machines or notify management if extra repairs/replacements are needed
  • Make improvements on equipment/machines as necessary and/or inform management if extra repairs are needed. * Organize supplies and equipment on gym floor
  • Arrange supplies and equipment on gym floor as supplies come into the clinic and organize treatment room drawers and insure they are stocked with supplies. * Practicing discretion and integrity in all job-related activities.
  • Uphold standards and regulations set by HIPAA and Southland Physical Therapy.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Although no special training or certifications are required to perform the job it is recommended.
  • For example, a four year degree relative to what physical therapy embodies, i.e. certificate/licensure for personal training or CSCS, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

  • Simple and complex patients

Physical requirements

  • Physical Therapy Aides must be able to be on their feet for prolonged periods of time, lift moderate weight, and perform repetitive task which involves bending/squatting.
  • Aide must have general knowledge of proper form/technique and cueing of exercises.

Compensation: $15-$18 DOE & Medical/Dental/401K/PTO after 60-day introductory period if full time.
